  •  Hello Anže, Who are you and what do you do for a living?

My name is Anže Jert and I come from Slovenj Gradec. I graduated from Faculty of sports – sport training. With my work, I focus primarily on the optimization of the human body as a complex system that works in synergy with the environment and the stimuli it receives. My mission is to educate people to the extent that they will be able to influence the body on their own with quality exercise, diet and psyche. With my work, I want to achieve the happiness of my clients and people who follow me.

  • What does sports and healthy food means to you?

For me, this means something necessary and natural. I would not divide food into healthy and unhealthy, but more or less optimal in terms of the impact on the processes that take place at the cellular level. In any case, I could say that the proverb - you are what you eat - holds true. I also say for exercise that it is one of the fundamental types of stimulus for our body and keeps it healthy.


  • What your typical day looks like?

Well...It starts by waking up, haha. But every day at exactly the same time - 6:30 - whether it's a weekend or a weekday. After that, I drink fresh spring water to hydrate myself, and I ingest a teaspoon of coconut oil to which I have added a few drops of essential oils. Then I go barefoot, in shorts out and step on my lawn, no matter the weather and the time of year. I stand there for about 5 to 10 minutes and meditate. I end the meditation by thanking myself for at least 5 things for which I am grateful that day.
When I get back to the house I start making coffee or green tea, and in the meantime I’m already listening to some podcast. While the first coffee cools down, I do some foam rolling to prepare my body for the 20 min trail run I do in the morning.
When I come home from running, I take a cold shower or go to my Cold Plunge composter, where I perform cold therapy. Then it’s time for another, more nootropic form of coffee and writing articles, vlogs, reading literature and research, until 12:00. Then I make my first meal, and after about two hours I have another workout.
The afternoon is usually my work time, which I spend with my clients. I have dinner at about the same time every day between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. After dinner, I take my puppy for a walk, and then I get ready for bed. Meditation, supplements, breathing exercises, a contrast shower, essential oils in the air and my acupressure pillow make sure I am asleep at 10pm every day.

  • Besides working with clients you also write a blog Why?

By making vlogs and writing a blog, I learn a lot. If I'm already learning and writing something useful, why wouldn't I share it with everyone who follows me, in order to make it easier for them to search for literature and learn. It seems to me that with a better understanding of certain processes, we can have a very positive impact on our health and performance.

  • What convinced you to join the Ironstar team?

Personally, I really appreciate that people are direct with their intentions, open to new ideas and have the knowledge to do the work they do. Of course, the vibe between the team is also very important to me. I rated all of this as very good and working with the whole team suits me very well. I think we have very good potential for progress.
